GreenCastle Video Productions serves businesses and non-profits in Plymouth Massachusetts, the South Shore and Boston areas. We’ve traveled to locations all over the country and across the world including Ireland, Haiti, Portugal and Spain.
GreenCastle Video Productions started in 2008 and takes inspiration for its name from Ireland’s beautiful countryside and rich history. It is here that Dan Miot, the founder of GreenCastle Video Productions, spent a month with a community of monks in Wicklow Town, Wicklow County on the east coast. Dan teamed up with Seamus Byrne, one of the monks in the community, an accomplished musician specializing in the apache spirit flute, the irish flute, bodrain and voice. Seamus was recorded performing his original music in studio which was paired with shots taken all over the Irish countryside including Glendalough, one of the most well-preserved ancient monastic cities in Ireland.
Dan comes with a background of over 20 years in video production. In that time, he has produced numerous videos for web and social media, television commercials, DVDs and documentaries. Some of the companies and organizations he’s worked with include Whole Foods, Plum Market, Boston University, Plimoth Plantation, Haiti Projects and Cindy’s Kitchen out of Brockton. Before starting GreenCastle Video Productions, he worked in community media centers in Burlington, Massachusetts, Wilmington, Massachusetts and Carver, Massachusetts where he served as executive director.
