OUR START
GreenCastle Media started in 2008 and takes inspiration for its name from Ireland’s beautiful countryside and rich history. It is here that Dan Miot, founder of GreenCastle Media, spent a month with a community of monks in Wicklow Town, Wicklow County on the east coast. Dan teamed up with Seamus Byrne, one of the monks in the community, an accomplished musician specializing in the apache spirit flute, the irish flute, bodrain and voice. Dan recorded Seamus performing his original music in studio and paired it with shots taken all over the Irish countryside including Glendalough, one of the most well-preserved ancient monastic cities in Ireland.
Dan comes with a background of over 25 years in video production and 20 in website design. In that time, he has produced numerous videos for web and social media, television commercials and documentaries. Some of the companies and organizations he’s worked with include Whole Foods, Plum Market, PrismHR, Boston University, Plimoth Plantation, Haiti Projects, Community Inroads and Cindy’s Kitchen out of Brockton, MA.
Our original company name, GreenCastle Video Productions, recently changed to GreenCastle Media to reflect the diverse services we now offer including turnkey podcasting services as well as website design.
